Japanese (Advanced)ⅣA<Integrated Japanese>

The purpose of this course is to cultivate comprehensive Japanese language proficiency by addressing tasks encountered in various situations, including daily life, academics, and society.

・Students will be able to deepen your thoughts on a wide range of themes and express
them in Japanese.
・Students will be able to research topics of interest and present the content in
Japanese.

In this course, various tasks (reading, speaking, writing, listening, presentation, and discussion) related to designated themes are assigned each time. Engaging in these tasks will enhance overall Japanese language proficiency. Additionally, based on students' levels and preferences, opportunities for explicitly learning kanji and grammar to deepen the understanding of themes and enrich expression are also included. At the end of the course, students choose one theme from what they have learned and autonomously present their findings.

＊In case of an emergency, we will conduct remote classes using Zoom.

The content and schedule may change depending on the number of students etc.

Comment on the submitted assignments on what was good and what needs to be improved.

Preparation: Read the specified materials in advance.
Homework: Review kanji and grammar.
Assignments: Mini-reports are assigned at the end of each topic (approximately every two weeks).

*You cannot receive credit for a course if you are absent more than 4 times. Please note that arriving more than 30 minutes late to a class or leaving a class when there are 30 minutes or more of the class period left will count as an absence. In addition, arriving to class less than 30minutes late 3 times will count as 1 absence. Similarly leaving class early 3 times (when there are less than 30 minutes of the class left) will count as an absence.

Students are expected to work actively on each task.
