Japanese (Advanced)ⅡB <Writing>

授業の内容

The purpose of this class is to develop the applied skills in writing so as to write texts that are easy for the readers to understand, paying attention to paragraph structure and vocabulary choice according to the medium. Also, will deepen the content of their work by exchanging opinions on it.

到達目標

・Student will be able to write an e-mail requesting a superior.
・Students will be able to write situational descriptions, opinion pieces, and sentences reporting on their experiences.
・Students will be able to read sentences written by others and exchange opinions.

授業の方法

The course consists of lectures and writing exercises. In the writing exercises, students are required to write emails, situation descriptions, opinion pieces, and reports on their experiences. Students are required to discuss their writing with their classmates.
All lectures and learning activities will be conducted in Japanese.
Bring your own computer as you will be writing on a computer in this course.

This course is taught in the form of exercises, and is held on campus. If, due to emergency, the course must be switched to remote teaching, we will us Zoom.

Students will receive a comment sheet describing what they did well on the assignment and what they need to improve on.

Others: Class activity 30%, Assignment 50%
Note: You cannot receive credit for a course if you are absent more than 4 times. Please note that arriving more than 30 minutes late to a class or leaving a class when there are 30 minutes or more of the class period left will count as an absence. In addition, arriving to class less than 30 minutes late 3 times will count as 1 absence. Similarly leaving class early 3 times (when there are less than 30 minutes of the class left) will count as an absence.
