Japanese (Intermediate) Ⅱ<Listening and Speaking>

・中級前半レベルの文法と語彙を使い、口頭表現の基礎力を養成する。特に、場面や相手に合わせて、適切な表現でコミュニケーションする力や、ある程度まとまった内容が話せるようになる力を身に着ける。また、日常生活の中でよく話されることの話題を理解し、一般的な話題について、必要な質問ができる聴解力を養う。
・The purpose of this class is to develop basic skills in speaking using grammar and vocabulary at the early intermediate level. In particular, will acquire the communication skills in an appropriate way according to the situation and who they are talking with, and to be able to speak about some coherent content. Also, aim to develop the listening skills to be able to understand the topics of what is often said in daily life, and to ask the necessary questions on general topics.

・学校や日常生活の場面で使われる適当な会話表現のスタイルで，友達や教師と情報や意見を交換することができるようになる。
・Student can exchange information and opinion with friends and teachers using appropriate conversation style at a school and the daily situation.

・自分の考えていることを効果的に伝え，コミュニケーションをとることができるようになる。
・Student can convey one’s thoughts and communicate effectively．

・授業は対面式で行う。ただし，非常時または感染症拡大等により遠隔授業実施が必要になった場合は，Zoomでリアルタイム授業を行う。必要な場合は、事前に通知する。リアルタイムオンライン授業を行う場合も、授業内容は対面式の場合と同様に行う。
・Classes are held face-to-face. However, in case of switching to remote learning due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, the class will be conducted via Zoom. In that case, it will be annuounced in adovance. Even though such a case happens, content of the classes aren’t change.

・ 授業は全て日本語で行う。
・All lectures and learning activities will be conducted in Japanese.

この「授業の計画」は、生徒のレベルやニーズなどによって調整されることがあります。詳細なスケジュールは、授業中にお知らせします。
This Plan may be adjusted depends on student’s level, needs, and etc. . Detailed schedule will be given out in the class.

・ロールプレイ、スピーチ、課題については、教師からの評価表によるフィードバックを行う。
・For role-plays, speeches, and assignments, feedback will be provided by the teacher via evaluation sheets.

・小テストについては、採点後、結果を通知し、基本的にフィードバックは授業時に行う。
・For quizzes, students will be notified of the results after grading, and feedback will basically be given in class.

・事前に配布資料を熟読し、必要な予習をしておくこと。
・Read the distributed materials carefully and make any necessary preparations in advance.

・授業で行った内容の復習をし、声に出して練習を行うこと。
・Review the materials learned in the class, and read sentences out loud.

・スピーチの前に原稿を書くことと、Oral Performanceの発表のための準備をすること。
・Write manuscript of speeches and prepare for oral presentation.

・想定学修時間：1回の授業につき、1時間程度、または必要な課題が達成できる程度の時間
・Estimated study time: about 1 hour per class or enough time to accomplish the required assignments.

定期試験：ペーパーテストの形式ではなく、Oral Performanceの形で授業時に行う。
その他：スピーチ（Speech)

5回以上欠席すると、その科目の単位を取得することができません。授業に30分以上遅刻した場合、または授業時間が30分以上残っているのに退席した場合は、欠席とみなしますのでご注意ください。また、30分以内の遅刻を3回した場合は、1回の欠席となります。同様に、3回の早退（授業時間残り30分未満）も1回の欠席とする。
You cannot receive credit for a course if you are absent more than 4 times. Please note that arriving more than 30 minutes late to a class or leaving a class when there are 30 minutes or more of the class period left will count as an absence. In addition, arriving to class less than 30 minutes late 3 times will count as 1 absence. Similarly leaving class early 3 times (when there are less than 30 minutes of the class left) will count as an absence.

＜教科書不要科目＞

受講生は、学期末までに達成すべき個々の目標を持って、積極的に授業に参加することが期待される。また、日本での生活の利点を生かし、様々な活動に参加し、視野を広げることが期待される。
Participants are expected to participate in class activities actively having individual goals to achieve by the end of semester. Also, students are encouraged to take the advantage of living in Japan involving themselves in various activities to broaden their perspectives
