Understanding Global Sport Movement and Global Sport Eco System

In this class, students will learn how modern sports have developed internationally while unraveling the history of modern sports. Students will also understand how international competitions and international sports organizations have played a role in the development of modern sports.
Also, to understand the characteristics of sports that have developed in diverse geographic locations. Each theme will be studied over a two-week period. Lectures, group work, and group presentations will be combined in class. Related films and documentaries will be used to deepen understanding.

At the end of this course, students should gain an insightful perspective on Global Sport Movement and Global Sport Eco System. Students also should have a profound knowledge of sports development in diverse geographic areas.

The lectures, visual materials and discussions are main components of this course. Interactive communications between the lecturer and students, as well as among students, will be highly encouraged. If it is necessary for reasons such as infection prevention, classes may be held on-demand.

There will be small discussion and presentations in each topics which reflect your grade.

Feedback will be given in class.

Reading materials will be given before and after class.

In the case of online lectures, the assignments for those lectures will be equivalent to reflection papers to the lectures in the classroom.
