授業の内容

Course content
<Reading Comprehension, Written Expression>
・This course offers students opportunities to develop their languages skills of reading, listening comprehension and writing on diverse topics, and also to acquire overall Japanese-language ability at an intermediate level.
・Students learn through reading, listening and writing tasks about the Japanese culture and society and gain deeper understanding of the Japanese society and culture along with the language skills.

到達目標

The purpose of this class is to develop basic skills in reading and writing, using grammar and vocabulary at the early intermediate level. In particular, in reading comprehension, will acquire the ability to read and understand various types of slightly longer texts and to express opinions about them. In writing, will acquire the ability to use appropriate expressions and to write explanations and simple opinions.

授業の方法

・Classes are held face-to-face.
・In the first period of this class, we will use specified textbook and learn new grammatical phrases and vocabularies. Based on these linguistic knowledges, we will listen to and comprehend the text, commentary, and news on the Japanese society and culture, and listen to or read the information and make summary or give oral explanation.
・In the second period of this class, we will use specified textbook and learn new grammatical phrases and vocabularies. Based on these linguistic knowledges, we will practice writing short sentences and essays.
・All lectures and learning activities will be conducted in Japanese.

課題に対するフィードバックの方法

The submitted essays will be returned with comments on what was good about them and what needs to be improved. Feedback on tests and quizzes will be given in the next class.

授業時間外の学修(予習・復習等)

・Prepare for class by reading the course materials and studying new words and grammatical rules before classes.
・Review the materials learned in the class, and read sentences out loud.
・Review each essay which teacher corrected for presentation.

 

1回の授業につき予習・復習あわせて最低1時間の学修が必要となります。
「授業時間外の学修(予習・復習等)」に明記されている想定学修時間の合計が1時間を上回っている場合は、その学修時間を必要とします。

成績評価の基準と方法の補足

You cannot receive credit for a course if you are absent more than 4 times. Please note that arriving more than 30 minutes late to a class or leaving a class when there are 30 minutes or more of the class period left will count as an absence. In addition, arriving to class less than 30 minutes late 3 times will count as 1 absence. Similarly leaving class early 3 times (when there are less than 30 minutes of the class left) will count as an absence.
