副題
授業の内容
|
This course examines climate change as well as business and human rights from the perspective of international economic law. It also considers how Japan is addressing these challenges. Both climate change and business and human rights are closely related to free trade. Reducing CO₂ emissions requires the promotion of trade in environmentally friendly goods. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure that domestic schemes, such as emissions trading systems, do not distort competition. Ensuring human rights throughout global supply chains also raises difficult questions, including how goods suspected of being manufactured under forced labor should be treated. This course focuses on those contemporary issues in terms of both legal theory and politics. |
