授業の内容

This course provides a comprehensive overview of the interplay between Japanese politics and mass media, designed to help students understand the mechanisms of political reporting in Japan. Through a combination of lectures, interactive discussions, and presentations, students will explore key political structures, historical developments, and the media's pivotal role in shaping public opinion.
Key topics include Japan’s political party system, the mechanics of factionalism (habatsu), the historical "1955 System" (55-nen taisei), election dynamics, and the media's influence on political discourse. This course offers a collaborative English-speaking environment where international and domestic students can learn together.
