Japanese (Intermediate) VI<Grammar, Kanji and Vocabulary>

This course is intended for students who have developed solid lower-intermediate Japanese skills, corresponding roughly to the CEFR B1 level. The course aims to strengthen students’ overall command of Japanese and help them communicate effectively in a wider range of social and academic situations. Students will practice expressing opinions, explaining experiences, and participating in discussions on familiar and moderately complex topics. The course also focuses on systematic study of grammar, kanji, and vocabulary so that students can use more accurate and sophisticated expressions in both spoken and written Japanese.

【Goal】
The purpose of this course is to develop foundational skills in intermediate-level grammar and kanji vocabulary. Specifically, students will acquire the ability to communicate with native Japanese speakers using the grammar and vocabulary they have learned. Additionally, they will broaden their range of intermediate-level kanji vocabulary and enhance their expressive abilities in Japanese.

・All lectures and learning activities will be conducted in Japanese.
・Classes will be held in person.

Prepare for class by reading the material and studying for the quiz.
Review what has been learned, including new vocabulary and grammar rules, and practice writing Kanji characters.

1回の授業につき予習・復習あわせて最低1時間の学修が必要となります。
「授業時間外の学修（予習・復習等）」に明記されている想定学修時間の合計が1時間を上回っている場合は、その学修時間を必要とします。

【Prerequisite】
Participants are expected to have individual goals to achieve by the end of semester committing yourself with studies with diligent attitude.


You cannot receive credit for a course if you are absent more than 4 times. Please note that arriving more than 30 minutes late to a class or leaving a class when there are 30 minutes or more of the class period left will count as an absence. In addition, arriving to class less than 30 minutes late 3 times will count as 1 absence. Similarly leaving class early 3 times (when there are less than 30 minutes of the class left) will count as an absence.
